Sunset 15 October - David Hope
Absolutely amazing. Lost myself just standing there shutting out the noise apart from the frequent noisy motor cycle.

The sunlight hit the buildings lighting them up and reflecting back onto the city.

At one point the clouds looked like a shark’s mouth swallowing the sun.

A grey, blank sky today so no sun to see! That somehow made people-watching less of a guilty pleasure.

You could see the rides and lights of Hull Fair and the city centre switch on. It was good to see it from a different perspective.

Last summer I told myself that it was important to see more sunrises and sunsets to enjoy the daily things in life which we often take for granted but are actually quite beautiful.

The sunset was spectacular. I feel so lucky to see the lights of Hull Fair in a different way.

It was so calming and peaceful to just sit and stand, tea in hand, for an hour and watch the city come to life. Thank you for a memorable morning.

We don’t spend enough time stopping and reflecting like this now we all have the internet in our pockets. We really should.

What a privilege to be able to be a part of this! How wonderful to watch over the city on such a gorgeous morning!

Whilst everything outside appeared to slow down my 60 minutes keeping watch passed so quickly.

I think everybody need come here and think about where are their life.

An unforgettable and very personal vigil over a bright, sunny and autumnal Hull.

I see lots of birds up here from sparrow to pigeons, crows, magpie, seagulls, geese and a lone swan.

A clear sunrise over the docks. A ship making slow, hazy progress to the mouth of the Humber, pink clouds on a blue sky

Lovely to watch over the city that has looked after me since I arrived here 50 years ago.

A beautiful sunny evening, the tide was high and the River Humber shone like a mirror.

Cold, blustery morning watching the sun trying to rise. It had many battles with the thick grey clouds forging through only occasionally.
