Sunset 7 March - Diane Maria Peaks
I was excited and a bit apprehensive as to what to expect with the Vigil. When I got into the ‘pod’ I thought I may be claustrophobic but the feeling soon left me. When I looked out of the window to my right and saw the William Wilberforce statue I realised how high I was. I could hear the wind and the seagulls ducking and diving, the sun was bright. I was amazed at the stillness of the River Humber. Queen’s Gardens was a bit drab; I am used to seeing all the flowers in their glory. The sky had a few dark clouds but still a nice blue. It was a great experience and am pleased I have done it. It is something that will stay with me for a very long time.
