Sunset 25 October - Judith Dent

A changing vista throughout the hour, with my attention changing as I thought about different aspects of the city and my role in it.  I enjoyed seeing the birds flying from above them; the city comparing East and West; noticing the proliferation of wind turbines around the skyline; seeing the lights come on in buildings as the sun set; thinking about my impact in the city since I arrived in 1989 and how minor that feels now; how long I’ve been here but still places within it which I haven’t seen.  Plus the high rate of fire/police/ambulance sirens and what they meant for the people they were helping and their families.

I had a lovely clear evening with blue skies and great cloud tonight – very lucky.
