Sunset 2 November - Katie Winter

I fully embraced my hour of peace.  Watching over Hull and working out which landmarks I am familiar with.  Isn’t it funny how the mind wanders?  I was thinking very random thoughts –

Doesn’t HRI blend in with its surroundings?, there seems so many trees, are those wind turbines at Withernsea?, oh, look, a squirrel.  Then the sun began to set and it totally embraced me.  At one point it felt as if it was setting just for me.  How honoured I was to be standing in the box holding Vigil over Hull for my quiet hour.
