              Swiftly fly the years

              One season following another

              Laden with happiness and tears

These lyrics from Fiddler On The Roof sum up my thoughts during my hour spent participating in the Hull Vigil.

Straight ahead of me – Hull Royal Infirmary where my Father passed away almost a year ago after contracting COVID 19 whilst on a ward.

Looking around the city, plenty of happy memories from my childhood and adulthood.  Remembered being painted blue for the Sea of Hull and found myself thinking of Malcolm Scott who founded Kardomah – such a special person.

Finally, a perfect sunset on yon side of the Humber Bridge – I’ll be travelling over that way later tonight to an event at Grimsby Auditorium.
