Sunset 18 November - Andy Blanchard
Alone/together:
Time shouldn’t be equal but it’s pretty cool that we all get an hour on watch but each one is different.
What did I get? Firstly, a stunning dippy yolk sunset over Elsham. A twinkling Christmas light here or there. Students larking about waiting for mates (one lass was laughing her head off when I saluted her wave). Majestic rooftops which you don’t normally see from this angle. A loud Porsche. Police car 93, Stodge’s van. Dope Burger hankerings. Views of the Wolds to the west and rural Holderness to the east. Finally, a fat moon rising over Bilton. Wow!
It’s been amazing to look east where I was born and brought up and worked for all my life. And to look west towards my family home with a brilliant wife and two wonderful boys. And out along the M62 for football and concerts.
Thanks to all who have made this possible. For Jim, a great man who we lost too soon. All the best.
There’s no love too small.
