Sunrise 5 September - Sarah McGowan

I am not a morning person usually and have probably seen very few sunrises, so it was quite exciting to see the sun peeking above the horizon.  (I think I let out a little squeal!)  I struggle to be ‘in the moment’ and did find my mind wandering and did pace a lot between the two windows but the hour went surprisingly quickly.  I did witness what seemed to be an argument between a couple that became physical and was concerned enough to alert my Companion (who called the Police) which was a sad and unexpected turn of events that made me reflect on the difficult lives some people have and how lucky I am to feel ‘safe’ most of the time but felt somewhat powerless to not be able to help.
