Sunrise 31 December - Elizabeth Holt

‘Calm’ is the word I would use as I exited.  Serene.  A cloudy morning but no heavy rain – no rain at all – so relatively clear but no sight of the sun.  Until around five minutes before the end of my vigil when a patch of misty light appeared and a bright, round, white ‘light bulb’ sun glared in the background.  Just for a minute.  Come to say hello.  Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to watch over Hull on this, the last day of 2021.
