Sunrise 23 February - Janthi Mills-Ward

 As I watched the city come alive it reminded me of a children’s book.  From peaceful streets the sun began to rise and so did the city.  A dust lorry, cars, ambulances starting their day.  I watched them all thinking about all our city has achieved.  I watched the docks, the Humber Bridge and the seagulls and I was thankful for all the city had given me over the last nine years.  I saved right until the end, the time to look over to where I work – Hull Truck Theatre which today is celebrating 50 wonderful years and I thought what wonder can be created in a simple box with a beautiful setting and one’s imagination.
