Sunrise 17 September - Emma Pooley

What a privilege it was to not only watch the city I call home wake up but to do so on my birthday!  I was struck by how the colour of the sun seems to change as it rises, from deep red to a bright, almost white, light. 

I found it very peaceful to be in the moment, watching the world go by.  It’s not often that I take the time to simply “be” with no distractions or interruptions, and it’s reminded me how important it is. 

This was a magical experience and I will make an effort to watch the sunrise more often in future.  I hope that every participant is able to immerse themselves in the joy of being.
