Sunrise 13 February - Joanne Leighton

It was a stunning experience.  I felt so moved and humble to stand and hold watch over Hull, taking my turn, side by side with everyone.  It was beautiful, and gentle, time, full of thoughts – it is never one thing – performing in this work has so many layers.  But one feels connected – to the city and the people in it.  Dear Mikey and The Freedom team, other Vigils, Companions, Vigil trainers, all of you involved I cannot thank you enough for this experience.  And also a special thanks to Janet, my Companion.      Thank you all for your care, support and your empathy.  Never forgotten . . . .
